Brief Plan on Blogging Making Money

If you want to make money blogging, you must have a plan in place to build and market your blog.

So many people jump right into blogging because they’ve read about all the money you can make in this business, but they don’t have a clue what they are doing and they end up wasting time and money.

Questions

Have you spent the time it takes to educate yourself enough to know exactly how your next year in the blogging business will go?

Do you know what your week to week blog building and marketing operations look like a month from now, or even six months from now?

Do you have a clear cut plan laid out on paper of exactly how you will go about setting up and marketing your blog?

If you can’t see what you will be doing in six months from now, how can you expect to get anywhere?

The Logic Of A Plan

If you were going to build a house, would you buy land and just start building without a blueprint or image of what your structure will look like?

Of course you wouldn’t go about building a home like that, unless you’re insane.

The same principle applies to your blogging business, or any business for that matter.

Can you imagine how far you’d get building a home, or even how your home would look if you started building without any blueprint to follow?

Can you imagine all of the mistakes you’d make along the way, and the time lost from those mistakes?

You will end up in the same boat if you get into blogging without a plan in place.

If you start a blog to earn money and don’t have a plan in place, you might as well put a blind fold on and walk barefoot in one direction for the next three months, or until you’re frustrated enough to quit.

Yes, there is money to be made in blogging, but not without a plan.

If you try to blog for money without having a plan in place, you will soon discover why 99 percent of bloggers fail at making money in the blogging business.

You will also quickly discover the frustrations that go with not having a plan in place.

People don’t plan to fail. They fail to plan. You’ve probably read that line somewhere before.

Knowing The Truth

I don’t mean to take the wind out of your sails. I know some of you are excited about the opportunities to make money blogging.

I just want to make sure you don’t waste your time and money in the beginning, only to discover you have to start all over after wasting about six months of hard work on this blog building process.

If you have a plan in place, you will get to see your progress all along the way. When things happen according to your plan, you will be more motivated to move forward with every passing day.

Educate Yourself First

Most people don’t create a plan, because they haven’t educated themselves enough about the process of building and marketing a blog.

There is a lot more to this blogging business than you could imagine.

Blogging for money is not something where you can just build and they will come. It doesn’t work like that.

I’ve seen people get into blogging because they think, if you just write the content, people will find it. Boy, what a mistake that is.

You could write volumns of content, put it on the Internet and be lucky to have people find it.

Writing content is only a fraction of the blogging business. The biggest part of blogging is the marketing.

The more you learn about the blog building and marketing process, the better your plan will be, and the more successful you will be too.

Before you create your blogging plan, my best advice is to spend as much time as possible learning everything you can about building and marketing a blog.

What Will You Need To Learn?

You will also need to learn about the term “Internet marketing.” When you build a blog, you basically have a website that you want the world to find. So, you need to learn about Internet marketing.

You have to learn about all of the marketing processes it takes to drive traffic to your blog.

There are a lot of secrets to driving traffic that you’ll need to learn, and it took me six months and more than $20,000 worth of Internet marketing programs before I learned many of the best marketing tips.

I just recently started putting together the best of the best marketing tips from all of those $20,000 worth of Internet marketing programs, and you can learn about the Internet marketing program I am putting together by registering on the right sidebar to receive my free ebook.

I will notify you via email when that program is ready, as long as you’re on my email list.

My plan is to save you thousands of dollars and all of the time it takes to find the best Internet marketing tips.

There are many Internet marketing tips that I guarantee you’ll be pretty excited to learn about.

I plan on spoiling you with this information, and you won’t even know you’re spoiled because you’ll just get the best information without all of the hard work, time and money spent trying to find those secret marketing tips that all Internet marketers keep well guarded.

Since this post is mainly to let you know about creating a plan for your blogging business, I won’t be going deep into any of the processes.

All I want to do is make sure you are aware of what it takes to really make money blogging. It’s the plan.

Spend about a month educating yourself on the blogging process. Google the terms “Internet marketing tricks”, “Internet marketing tips” and “Internet marketing secrets.” Just be aware about the hype and don’t buy into every Internet marketing program or bit of information you find.

Study Top Bloggers

Find out who the top bloggers are and study what they do in order to make money blogging. Just remember one thing, no top blogger or Internet marketer will ever teach you their secrets on their blog.

They will charge you for their secrets, and then they still won’t teach you everything when you pay for the information. I’ve already figured this out the hard way.

There is a reason that bloggers won’t teach you the secrets right up front. I don’t want to get into that, but you will figure it out if you do enough homework up front.

I wrote about developing a business plan for your blog in a previous post, and I’m writing about a plan again, because building a plan is the most important part of making money blogging.

Do yourself the biggest favor of your life before you start a blogging business and create a detailed plan after you’ve done enough homework.

Your blogging career will be so much more rewarding if you can create that plan.

  1. Hi Mr Alston,

I found this blog while roaming on the internet. It kind of motivated me to start my own blog on a niche I was passionate about. I consistently posted content on them, learned html, and WordPress to manage the site. After one year I decided to apply for AdSense and got approved in one hour (It is not making any money atm). Currently this site has 50 posts and around 10 people visit daily (its much lower than what a usual bloggers get I think). Plus I am thinking of starting a second site but now have no funds due to inflation to get WordPress. Will it work if i use blogger platform for my second site. I can code html to get features that i need into the site, but I miss the features of a proper WordPress site on it. Please enlighten me on this conundrum.

Plus now I am losing hope for future of SEO with current conditions of the country. Do you have any tricks or methods for a blogger to survive this situation in srilanka while trying to grow.

    • Hi,

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your experience with starting a blog. It’s great that you were able to get approved for AdSense within an hour, and it’s also totally normal for a new blog to only receive a few daily visitors at first. It takes time and consistent effort to grow a blog and increase traffic.

As for using the WP platform for your second site, it’s certainly an option to consider. While WordPress does have more features and customization options, WordPress can still be a useful platform for creating a blog and it’s free too.

As for SEO, it can be challenging to stay up-to-date with the constantly changing landscape of search engine algorithms. One tip is to focus on creating high-quality, relevant content that provides value to your readers, and to also consider doing keyword research to understand what terms your target audience is searching for and including those in your content. Additionally, it can be helpful to promote your blog on social media and other online platforms to help drive traffic to your site.

Overall, the key to success as a blogger is to stay consistent, continue learning and improving your skills, and don’t get discouraged by setbacks. Keep working on your blog and you’ll eventually see the results of your efforts.

I hope this helps, and please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any further questions or need additional advice.

      Best regards,
      Alston
