About Me & My Teaching Approach

I am an ICT lecturer and technology professional with over 18 years of experience in the IT industry, specializing in areas including Enterprise Architecture, Digital Transformation, Cloud Computing, Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Automation.

Throughout my professional career, I have held senior technical and leadership positions, including Head of Department & Senior Solutions Architect at Fortude, as well as roles at Pearson Lanka, Virtusa and MillenniumIT. My academic qualifications include an M.Sc. in Business Information Technology and a B.Sc. (Hons) in Information Technology from Middlesex University, together with Microsoft and Oracle professional certifications.

I teach G.C.E. A/L ICT in English Medium, with a strong emphasis on helping students develop a genuine understanding of ICT concepts rather than simply memorizing material for the examination.

My Teaching Style

My approach is concept-based, structured and exam-focused. I believe that when a student properly understands why and how something works, answering examination questions becomes much easier.

Lessons therefore begin by building a clear understanding of each topic, using simple explanations, practical examples, diagrams and real-world applications wherever appropriate. Once the underlying concepts are established, we progressively connect them to the requirements of the A/L examination.

First class is free, giving students an opportunity to experience the teaching approach before deciding to continue.
